Its a pretty classic Lynsay Sands book in terms of the writing style and the humour. The only reason i've given it 3 stars is the fact that nothing really happened. The plot was pretty much non existent outside of the romance, and there wasn't any suspense or anything really in terms of the romance. But considering it is the same formula for the last couple of books you can't really expect more.

SPOILER:
The entirety of the plot is the two protagonists meet, pretty much 'fall in love on sight' and then the girl finds out her dads an immortal, she nearly gets killed and her dad nearly gets his dick cut off (that all happens in literally the last 10/15 pages maybe.) The end

Revisit old friends and meet new ones. I adore this series and always anxiously await the next installment. In this episode we meet Sherry Carne kitchenware supply store owner and according to Stephanie and Marguerite Basil’s life mate. Watching the two come together all the while dodging Leo and trying to unravel the other secrets in Sherry’s past is another fine romp. Lynsay Sands makes me laugh and fall in love with each of her characters.

Found this in the cruise ship library and it was the only fiction book in English so, alas, I read it. It’s your standard human-meets-vampire romance fare and delivers a predictable outcome. Some weird/uncomfortable dismissal of what is clearly rape by mind control. Romance was fine but not impressive. And the villain perplexed me. Would not recommend.

I found the ending abrupt but I still really enjoyed the book.

Great book. The author managed to find a slightly different storyline to follow for this book in the series. A major story that has been weaving through several books has finally come to an end as well. I really enjoyed this book, and it was nice to catch up with quite a few of the characters from some of the other books in this series as well.

Updating my library borrows that I haven't put into my GR yet

It was alright. It cuts to the chase fairly quickly, but it felt like nothing was happening most of the time. We were supposed to be on the chase for a guy named Leo, that ultra bad-guy of the book, but honestly you get little of that. He barely comes up when you get an ok romance going on. It was also really hard to like the characters when they're so bland.
