With the tenth volume of Vampire Knight, I still have the same issue like with the ones before: It is not always clear what is happening. I was quite thankful for the summary of the last volumes at the beginning because it explained the story better than the manga itself – this is not a good sign.
Anyways, I still enjoyed this volume. It is still full of angst, and I still love the art so much. And we get some Zero POV! I’m more team Zero now for obvious reasons, but Kaname is still interesting and the brutality he’s showing is honestly a bit disturbing. We almost get a fight between those two if it was not Yuki stopping them again; I hope they’ll get their great real showdown down the series sometime.
Talking about Yuki, the focus was less on her love drama but more on the character building for the side characters and vampire politics – I hope that this trend will continue with the following volumes.
