I wanted to revisit The Killing Joke, since I hadn't read it in about 10 years and it was a topic on one of more recent episodes of Still Buffering. I'm not The Batman/Joker fan I once was, but this is still a beautifully drawn and engaging book.

The flashback sequences with the one pop of color are lovely.

If anything, I'm just weary of the cynicism...and the decision to use Barbara Gordon as a disposable tool against her father was gross. Maybe that's the point?

Wow! I haven't read Batman in decades. That was great and really dark. Joker shoots Barbara Gordon in the guts, strips her naked, takes photos of her bleeding and naked on the floor, and uses the pics to drive her father Jim Gordon insane. He almost succeeds until Batman appears at the amusement park for the final showdown. Interspersed throughout is flashbacks of The Joker's origin story, which was also really cool. This is a 5-star effort in my book!

Not as good as advertised

This was on a list of the best graphic novels of all time. I am not a Batman fan, but I do like Alan Moore. I found this to be more self aware than my previous Batman experiences. It wasn’t great, just good.
