I did enjoy the book to a certain extent but I found myself getting annoyed with Camille. When I found out how things ended between Dusty and Camille I viewed her in a different light. Throughout the book it felt like Dusty was the one who messed up and he was trying to win her back or like be part of her life, but in actuality she's the one who left. Yeah he could have called her or whatnot but he said let's talk about it tomorrow so that they dont say things they don't mean and she decided I dont care to even want to do long distance I'm gone. She took no accountability. Then when she found out he was the owner of the house she went crazy on him, why? It made no sense to me because her logic was so flawed and I was so happy that Wes said exactly what I was thinking, youre literally renting the house. It isn't even yours and you're mad cause in your mind you owned it?! And then the hurtful thing she said about him leaving was mind blowing. She literally did the same thing when she broke up with him when they were young. Then she doesn't even apologize, it's on Dusty to fix everything and to let her know he's here to stay? What about her? Shes the one who left.

This was not my jam and I really wanted it to be. I've loved Book #1 and Book #3 and went straight into this one after Book #3. I DNFed at 85%.
Maybe it was the fact that I was reading it back to back - the story didn't feel different enough. The relationship cadence was feeling a bit repetitive and so, I was losing steam about halfway through. Except it wasn't as entertaining or as tension filled as Teddy & Gus from #3.
The story sort of meandered along and I found myself getting increasingly angry with Cam for not standing up for herself & then exploding on Dusty for what felt like a relatively minor issue, which wasn't his fault. She just came across as spineless and entitled. Dusty, buddy - I get you're enamored - but you deserve better than an emotional whiplash.

I can’t believe this is the end of rebel blue! I loved this series so much. Unfortunately this book dragged more than the last one, but the epilogue was work the unsatisfying slow burn. LOVE Lyla Sage!

I really loved this series, it felt very cozy, small town-y, and cute. This was my least favorite in my series but I am not a fan of a back and forth / flash back kind of time line. Dusty was such a good golden retriever kind of guy, he was one of my favorites in the series. I will definitely return to this series.

I have been looking forward to Dusty & Cam's story for what seems like forever and I absolutely loved it. There's something about a second chance romance that really pulls at my heartstrings and this one definitely did that. Oh Dusty. I just love him so much. That man never gave up on his feelings for Cam. I love that this was a dual timeline because what's better than watching them fall in love? Getting to do it TWICE!
I love the relationship Cam has with Gus, her daughter's father. I love that Gus's family just loves and accepts her even though they aren't together.
The 3rd act conflict was kinda over the top though. I felt like Cam very much overreacted. Other than that, I loved every bit of it. I'm so sad that this series is over!

This was narrated by Connor Crais & Savannah Peachwood. I think this is my first audiobook where they narrated together and I seriously adored this pairing. They were absolutely perfect and I seriously did not ever want to stop listening.
