What to say? It evokes emotions, a lot of them, and, at times, quite strongly. Patient 974 is not for the faint of heart. This book has a unique approach I haven't come across before that was gripping. I'll likely check out more of the series.

This book was one that made me absolutely sick to my stomach yet also dying to know what happened next. The author had me hooked the whole time I was reading and while I agree that the writing style is not the best, I personally enjoy it because it feels like the main character is writing how he talks, which helped me connect to him more than other books have. I felt I was reading his thoughts instead of just how a character feels, like talking to a friend.
The characters in this book were so compelling in a way I never expected. Some of these characters I tried to sympathize with, some of them I couldn't wait to see pass, and I had the best time reading. Overall, this book was amazing and I cannot wait to continue with the rest of the books

This would have been a more enjoyable listen if the chapters were more than 2 to 3 minutes long. Hearing the chapter numbers read so soon, interrupting, made it hard to stay with the story
