I adore SOC. The characters, their motivations, their backstory, and how all these different characters interact with each other. Intense, has you on your toes.

So good! One of my favorite books I'm on my way to read Crooked Kingdom right now, it was truly amazing and its one of very few books that I would reread, it starts off a bit slow but once it starts going its amazing, my only advice would be to skip the first chapter because its so confusing and barely has anything to do with the story.

This book is everything! It keeps you turning pages because the plot is amazingly fast-paced while the characters are also very much the catalyzers. This story has both an engaging plot and complex characters with intriguing dynamics. It has fantasy, romance, comedy elements, action and so much more! Not only that, but the cast of main characters is very diverse (sexuality, religion and ethnicity albeit fantastical).

The backstories are going to make you cry. Also the ones in crooked kingdom.

Für alle Fantasy-Liebhaber*innen das perfekte Buch. Es ist echt toll geschrieben und super spannend. Die Welt ist auch echt toll aufgebaut. Die Autorin hat mich mit der Krähenreihe echt nochmal umgehauen. Es fallen mir nur wenige Kritikpunkte ein: 1. Warum können die Charaktere nicht ein bisschen älter sein ? Bei Wylan und vlt auch noch Jesper kann ich verstehen warum sie so jung sind. Aber Kaz und Inej als 17-jährige ist manchmal unangenehm. Da beide ziemlich klatblütige Mörder*innen sind. 
2. Der andere Punkt (und dafür kann die Autorin nichts) ist das die Übersetzung and machen Stellen nicht ganz perfekt war. Aber das war auch schon meckern auf höchstem Niveau. 
3. Das Ende ging ein bisschen schnell. Aber dafür freue ich mich jetzt auf Band 2 😍
