Cute concept! I loved reading certain excerpts that I remember clearly from playing Regina in the musical myself since it was funny to compare those lines to how they were Shakespeare-ized. Reading this made me want to rewatch the movie which is perfect timing since the movie adaptation of the musical is coming out soon! Overall it was a fun easy read but it wasn't anything super compelling which is why I hesitate to rate it higher. Ultimately I guess that wasn't the point of a Shakespeare adaptation of a hit movie, so I'd still recommend it.
I have read Doescher's Shakespeare's Star Wars series and I loved it so much that I think my expectations for this book might have been a little too high. I thought that it was enjoyable but it was not on the same level as the Star wars ones were. Still a very fun idea and I do think that it is worth a read.

This book has a really novel concept, but I think the sum is weaker than its parts. It wasn't nearly as witty as Shakespeare or as interesting as Mean Girls.
I don't think the author could have done much to improve it, they did write it very well, I think that's just the limitations of trying to translate the source material into Shakespeare's style.

Less a mashup than Mean Girls written in iambic pentameter with characters stealing lines from their Shakespearean personality equivalents, but still really fun.
Mean Girls has always been my favorite chick flick and when I saw this book, it got me so excited. One because, duh, Mean Girls content. Second because I was really curious as to how the dialogue (jokes and burns and all) would be translated into Shakespearean language. And boy did this did not disappoint. This book was hilarious from start to finish. I don’t know how someone can hate this book. It was funny and cathartic and overall just a good time.
