The majority of the book relies heavy on the comedy portion of the romcom, but the initial animosity makes the reunion so much sweeter

The narrator is very grating for the first 2/3s of the books and nearly made me DNF it but I'm not a quitter so I stuck it out. the last 1/3 of the book was much better because that's after the narrator has a realization. It's probably realistic to a degree but man was the narrator unpleasant at the beginning. At first you feel bad for her and then she is just annoying. They grow on you like a fungus though.

I'm so confused by this book. On the one hand I thought it was pretty funny, albeit immature at times. The love story in the latter half is also quite cute. On the other hand, I don't understand what the major conflict is, and why they were at each others throats. They sort of explain it eventually (towards the end) but for the most part the action starts without really laying the foundation for the plot. Also the transition from enemies back to lovers wasn't very smooth and kind of just happens without reason? So I enjoyed it but not sure if it's going to stay with me much after reading. I'd recommend the audio book. The narrator did a great job voicing both characters!
