Decent intro to the re-vamped ultimate fantastic four, but not as good as most Bendis/Millar story lines.

I read the first two volumes of Ultimate Fantastic Four as one combined hardcover volume (and as part of my current [a:Warren Ellis|12772|Warren Ellis|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1198679772p2/12772.jpg] binge).

I gotta say, Bendis, Kubert, and Ellis all did a great job writing an origin story about a team I'd never previously cared for but am now fascinated by. I hope the series continues to be as enjoyable.

I know literally nothing about the fantastic four and now I want to know more so I consider that a good thing.

This volume made me want to read more! It basically introduces us to the Fantastic Four and how they became the "Fantastic Four."

Reading Volume 2 now!

This one tells the origin of the Fantastic Four and how they became who live came this was right at the Beginning though no so we see reed as a little boy and he always getting in trouble with his dad for his experiments he then does a science there were he gets giving a full or scholarship or ride to this science place where they do experiments to see if they can get through to the other world like a parallel line used universe so he does this experiment at a bigger scale than what he was used to so they could sort a walk through but it backfires and Johnny Ben Sue I'll get changed as long with reed Johnny obviously became torch Ben became the thing Sue became the invisible girl and I forget what the other guy became I just know he's a stretchy person it was really good but I didn't really know their Origins so if you want I just know their origins this is a really good book to start with you don't have to continue with the service after this if you don't want to

I really enjoyed this first volume! I think it did a good justice to the original FF story while having a very interesting turn to it. Also my first time reading with Adam Kuberts art and I think it fit the story very well. I loved his splash pages showing a big scene and even the paneling was done very nicely. Loved the flow of this volume. It paced it self very well making me want more. I’m reading this digitally so I’m Jumping straight into Vol 2.
