Climate change is not in some distant future or in some far away land, instead it is here, in our present, our world, having devastating impacts within our borders. This begins to introduce us to those who have already been displaced and draws our attention to how many more it will happen to. While also taking into account the economic, racial, systemic, etc. issues that we will need to contend with in the coming years.

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

Well written book. I will finish it some day but I needed something focused on different topics right now. Definitely an important read.
medium-paced

Read like half for a college class and then liked it so much i had to finish it!

very insightful, anthropological, and full of urgency

I found this book more compelling than anything I’ve heard even Al Gore say. It stripped a lot of the technical talk and simplified why climate change is an imperative we need to care about in this lifetime.
