3.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ .75 stars! This story is about Vee, a single mom working in food services at a tech company called Grapengine, who dreams of becoming a coder. She’s motivated by her love for her autistic son and wants to create an app to help him manage his sensory needs. But, because money’s tight, she can’t afford the specialized school he needs, which makes her goals feel even more urgent.

Then, Vee unexpectedly meets the CEO of Grapengine, and suddenly her dreams feel like they might actually come true. The story is packed with hope, humor and feel-good moments. This is such a cute rom-com with an awesome cast, including Queen Latifah, Coco Jones, and Keith Powers. It was a really fun read!

Technically Speaking by Michael Elliot is a quick and cute listen, perfect for when you need something light while running errands or doing chores. At under two hours, it’s easy to finish in one sitting. I originally picked it up because I’m a fan of Coco Jones, and I loved hearing her narrate alongside Queen Latifah and William Stanford Davis.

The audiobook doesn’t feel like a traditional story—it’s more like a show with all the sound effects, which I think was the author’s goal. While this immersive approach is creative, the background noises (like heels clicking and doors opening) were a bit distracting for me. I see how they add a unique layer, but they sometimes pulled me out of the moment.

What really stood out was the use of multiple narrators, giving each character their own voice. That was refreshing compared to the usual one or two narrators in most audiobooks. I also loved the themes of STEM, the importance of therapy, and raising awareness about autism, all woven into the storyline.

Overall, it's an enjoyable and unique audiobook, but the sound effects were just a little too much for my taste. If you're into audio dramas or want something short and sweet, this could be a fun listen!
