i really appreciate how straightforward and clear this is, having read marx's communist manifesto and had difficulty with the archaic and formal language. it also brings many of the concepts from marx's works into context with the current world, as well as providing great counterpoints to common detractions of communist theory. it also does a great job of not presenting anything as overly idealistic or utopian.

my one complaint is about a section discussing prisons where they seem to hedge the issue of prison abolition and dont appear to have a strong take for or against; i would have liked to have seen more analysis on it.

but overall a great intro to marxism and anticapitalism!
