Kind of obsessed w Mildred & Atakan. Honestly, I didn’t have a clue what was going on with the war at times and couldn’t remember the side characters. Though the non-romance elements felt a bit under-developed, I still enjoyed it a lot.

I finish it… that is the only good thing about this book.

I mean, at first it was super interesting, but then nothing happened... or some scenes dragged on too long or ended too quickly.

I didn't feel any connection with any of the characters. In fact, it was even hard for me to know who certain characters were because I couldn't remember who was who (and normally I remember characters pretty well...).

The romance... I mean, at first I liked it because it seems like they've hated each other since they were kids, but then when they get together, they get involved right away?? Where's the slow burn? Also the FMC is so meh and annoying…

This book was awful. I almost DNFed it twice, but pushed through hoping it would turn a corner. It was confusing, messy, unorganized, and silly (not in a good way). The characters were not well-written and had no development. There was a glimpse of it in the last few pages, hence the half star, but then went away. The FMC had no direction and the 2 MMCs were so confusing. They were rotten most of the book, then all the sudden one was gone and one was good? Like literally within pages of each other. The main relationship didn’t make sense and was still disconnected after -spoiler- being mated. So disappointed.
