I read this book earlier this year and have no idea why i failed to review it at the time. Oh well, I'm just here to tell you that like all of Moriarty's books, I love her style - the way she combines a supposedly vapid subject with characters and scenes that really make you think. I liked it a lot.

I feel this one has redeemed Moriarty after the utter disappointment that was Nine Perfect Strangers.
Other than a few poor language choices, I was really impressed that this one didn’t feel super dated.
I liked the characters and I thought the pace of the book was great - until the end - I found it a little rushed.
I did like that by the end things weren’t perfectly resolved.
I liked the honest depiction of family dynamics and their complexity and that while it wasn’t an unhappy ending - it certainly wasn’t all tied up neatly!
A really engaging start too and lovely chapter lengths!

i found myself really enjoying the stories of the characters throughout the book but it all felt kind of disjointed because there was no overarching plot to anchor it

Lättläst, bra bok. Inte en av Moriartys bästa, blev aldrig riktigt fast men mysig frukostläsning.

I found myself really connecting with Gemma, and I don't want to go too into detail for fear of spoilers but I really enjoyed getting to know the Kettle girls. I'd definitely read a sequel. 😉
