This book gets points for being unusual. It's another one where close co-workers take a leap, and they decide to go slow (almost kind of one upping each other to see how long they can hold off on a physical relationship for a bit). It's got a lot of banter, some of which works, and some not so much. The conflict with Paul's family in the third act lends the book more gravity that I was expecting, but I think it did work, hearkening back to the prologue.
