A cute dystopian novel that teaches a lesson that learning never stops. Reading is knowledge. Yes, it was odd that Bix followed the rat into the city below, but little kids have a mind of their own. Young kids would like this story. Teaches them the lesson that there's more to life than just technology.

This children's picture book has a dystopian feel where eye balls provide surveillance to people of all ages. When a girl follows a rat through a hole in a wall into the "city under the city" she sees the way a world could be without constance surveillance. It is a pretty interesting book that I think kids will like and also tells a bit of a message about the problems with being constantly connected. I'm not sure if all children would get the message but I think they would like the book regardless. It also has a bit of a cartoon/comic feel with some of the boxes and speech bubbles which kids are very into! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was chilling. Terminators, except rendered as big eyeballs, for little people.

Fun use of color and light, and humor, too.
