Loved this so much! Such a great end to the story though I would love to see more books based on this world because I didn’t want it to end 😭 Can’t recommend this duology enough. Highly recommend!

Literally a fantastic ending to an out of this world story. Let me leave you with the two quotes that impacted me most in this story. Both are from Briseis narrating:

"This was a hero’s quest and something would have to be lost."

"I was the seed set in the soil, nurtured by the love of my family, and allowed to grow, to stretch, to reach for the sun."

I still loved the characters in this book as much as I did in the first one. The plot was not as well-thought out as it could’ve been but it was convincing even when it was 100% unbelievable. I loved the Greek mythology aspect.

I don't really know how I feel about the ending. It feels like it leads to a third book but I know that it is a duology.

There's a lot of unfinished business regarding Karter and Briseis. And I did feel like Karter deserved to be heard. He was being manipulated as much as anyone else.  #KarterDeservedBetter.
