I feel like this book covers similar topics to Home Fire, and does them better. I found myself relating to the discussions around race and privilege a lot. The writing style is easy to read, and once you get into this book, you really get invested in all the characters and side characters and their journeys through navigating life in America, UK and Nigeria. It's an interesting book.

Even though I think I personally enjoyed reading Ifemelus’ perspective. Seeing how the separation was tracked through Obinzes’ eyes was great for context and it made their reunion that much sweeter.
This was a great easy to read comfort from an amazing author.
