I was surprised by this book and might have not picked it up have I read the reviews before.

I find it interesting/important to read about the topic on eating disorders as I never had much contact with it.

However I was a bit bothered by the main character and her pushover personality. It annoyed me. On the other hand I believe it played to the fact her personality was not yet formed.

The religious part didn’t bother me as it was very subtle until the end. There I thought it wasn’t really believable but then it’s different for everyone.

I would say read it.

*This gives come of the plot in the story. It doesn't give it directly but beware.*

This book was heartbreaking and heart lifting at the same time. I think it frames some major problems that are part of especially high schoolers and college students. The main character and her friends also go through problems that are happening at mostly 15 and older. It really shows how messed up our world is by like drinking our problems away or making ourselves throw up to fit everybody else's image. I congratulate the author on presenting these problems and coming up with solutions in this book. I'm looking forward to reading the next 2 books.

To find the right words...

It wasn't an immediate attraction to the story. Like the evolving maturity of the main character Avery, it was a love that kindly grew. Tammy has a purposeful way to commence the growth of this young woman's soul. The heartbreak, the faultering Times of self doubt, and finally of an acceptance of love, one for self that was never possible to believe in before.
As for being a self-published author, this woman has strengths no publisher could deny. True to her craft, true to herself, true to the written word. I am a grateful and appreciative fan.
