There are 5 pop-ups in this book of curiosities from the world of Harry Potter. They move and some of them are delicate. The interesting this is the book opens in the middle and not from the side. The pages flip down like an upside down legal pad and they pop out at you. The page folds down bringing the scene with it.

There is a sorting hat, Newt’s suitcase, the bank vault scene, the pixie scene from Gilderoy’s class and the Whomping Willow.

It’s a cute quick paper engineered little bit about Harry Potter. Several of the pop-ups seem very intricate to me and you have to be careful not to break them. IT’s a very delicate book. The library copy I got had damage to several pages so I had to open them by hand.

It’s fun to see, but was this book needed - well no, but it’s still fun to see for fans of the series. The previous pop-up book I read was better with more details, but this includes scenes from Newt’s world.

The nephew can sit for almost 30 minutes being still watching them unfold and fold. He tries to figure it out. He loved it. 5 stars for him.
