Great conclusion
This book gave the story and the main character arcs closure. I do hope I can get more on Asa and Nat though

Echoes of Time was bittersweet for me. I loved the conclusion to Etienne and Serene's story, it kept me glued to the pages anticipating what would come next. While I found it a fitting end I still want more. I'm not ready to let go of these characters (both main and secondary) or this world just yet. There are too many things I still need and want to know. I'm hoping the author writes stories for Etienne's and Serene's siblings. I recommend this series to those who love epic stories about love that stands the test of time.

This book was pretty different from the others in this series because it changed POVs quite a bit. That made it feel a bit less cohesive but I still really liked it. Etienne and his grumpy nature just made me actually laugh out loud at some points. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Listen.
This book was genuinely a disappointment to me, because I had LOVED book 1 and book 2. I had expected book 3, being the end of the trilogy, to wrap everything up and answer all the unanswered questions from the 2 previous books.
But, nope. It didn’t.
So many plot holes and inconsistencies and unanswered questions. It’s like the writer had no idea how to tie all the loose ends and went “fuck it I’m just gonna wing it” and THEN in the process of winging it, they just created MORE plot holes and loose ends.
1.) Why the FUCK would Old Serene suddenly be back after basically having been scrubbed clean from the face of the earth?? What’s the explanation for THAT?
2.) WERENT LIVINGSTON AND ÉTIENNE SUPPOSED TO LOOK DIFFERENT FROM ONE ANOTHER DESPITE BEING TWINS?? ÉTIENNE BEING TALLER AND MUCH BIGGER IN FRAME AND BEING BLOND WHILE LIVINGSTON BEING BRUNETTE?? SO WHY THE FUCK WOULD SCARLETT’S CRAZY ASS MISTAKE HIM FOR ÉTIENNE?? IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, NO LESS?? WHAT???
3.) And yeah of course Livingston’s amnesiac ass, who couldn’t remember A SINGLE THING including his own family members, would suddenly remember the fact that Scarlett was his crazy attacker because Nat happened to mention her name. Right. Yeah. Totally believable.
4.) WHAT WAS THE EXPLANATION FOR ALL THE TIME-TRAVELING?? WHAT WAS THE TRIGGER?? WHY SERENE?? WHY ÉTIENNE??
5.) How come Serene went from 14-week pregnant to FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT once she came back to the past just because time moved much quicker in the past era, but SOMEHOW she had never gotten older back when she’d first traveled back after 2 years had passed in the past era?? Étienne had grown 2 years older but somehow she hadn’t?? WHAT WAS THE ANSWER TO THIS?
6.) What has become of Nathalie and Asa? Is Nathalie still married to that weasel Oliver? What?? And what about Livingston and Rainey?? WHAT??? WHY SO MUCH BUILDUP IF YOU WERENT GOING TO GIVE YOUR READERS CLOSURE REGARDING THESE 2 PAIRS?? LITERALLY NO MENTION OF THE STATE OF THEIR AFFAIRS AT ALL IN THE EPILOGUE?? LIKE ALSO WHAT ABOUT LIVINGSTON’S BURIED DREAMS OF WANTING TO BECOME AN ARCHITECT??? WHAT????
And so many more that I can’t remember off the top of my head. Just so fucking unserious.
