I love the male POV! I love that we get to see his side of things and see what he’s feeling.
Screening the first 3 of this series for my kiddo. It’s… meh. Inane, angsty, insta-love high school students with an uninteresting story, typical plot, and flat characters.
I’m not the target audience here, I understand.
This just might be like those religious romance novels I’m so biased against. Maybe cheesey romances in any form or genre just make my ‘ew’ list…
*update* I simply cannot force my way through the rest of book two. After perusing the rest of book 2 & book 3, I put them in the library return pile.

pretty basic idk, not exactly my fav but I'll still read the second volume
I don't know what I was expecting but this was not it. The ML is not likeable to me and going from a playboy to having an intense crush in 0.5 seconds makes no sense. The FL is also unlikeable, why is she being overly violent for no reason?

Ahhh playboy now has a crush!!! A shojo from the boy's perspective. On a girl who seems rough and brutish but also has a girly side whenever she sees the guy she's crushing on. What will Kai?

I'm not sure how I feel. I really hate slut characters, especially when they're children. It's so out of place compared to most shoujo, and it makes the main character extremely dislikable. One of the first things we find out about Kai is that he's been cheating on his girlfriend because although he agreed to be her boyfriend, he didn't consider them to be truly dating (the whole weird Japanese idea of being a couple but starting out as friends first, instead of casually dating before officially going out). Anyway, he's an asshole. And nothing changes about him in this volume except that he randomly falls in love, which wasn't very believable. It would have been better to stretch the events in this volume to 2 or 3 volumes to make the pacing and development more realistic.
