This book was just okay, probably will end up being a bit unmemorable.
I like post-apocalyptic stories, and this one did give a bit of an eerie feel that I do enjoy. I just wish it leaned into it a bit more.
It felt like there wasn't much going on throughout the book, and it was obviously alluding to the divide in wealthy/poor people. But I feel like it was a bit too subtle in portraying this (especially if it felt like that was the whole point of the book??)

Funky but not too bad. Writing was dry but insightful?
I didn't really get this--maybe mid-century dystopia's just not for me. It's depressing, and even more so when you look at our world today. The premise that the richest people will survive to be waited on hand and foot--that they will pay to survive--is not wild. That these people wouldn't help others and would isolate themselves from conflict--not wild. This has nothing else to offer.
