Interested to see where this series goes. Some of the side characters seem really interesting and it'll be nice to see the Silver Oak Pack open up. I liked Cash and Ore, but the size difference trope gives me the ick, so I knew going in that I was mostly here for the plot. Magical tattoos are cool, but
why didn't Ore just bite Cash? That didn't make any sense to me. I also wanted a bit more conversation before they jumped into magically binding them together forever, but that's my dislike of the fated mates trope.

I love pretty much anything Kiki writes, but I wasn't all that invested in Cash and Ore.

This was a really good new series starter. I loved how Ore really came out of his shell as the story progressed. Cash and Ore’s story was really sweet on its own, and I really like how it pushed Liam to make changes to the pack.

That said, it was definitely obvious that this was somewhat of a bridge from the previous books in the universe into this one, with Cadh and Ore’s story being the vehicle to introduce new characters and a post-council world. The Kinkaids and Amatos featured heavily, showing how the Silver Lake pack connected to the characters and the world we already knew. The story also very much set up the development of the Silver Lake pack and a whole new set of character. Particularly, I can’t wait to read more about Finley, Robbie, and Saint; and to find out more about the mysterious people who held Ore prisoner.

I think this couple is one of my favorites in the author’s shifter series, Ore and Cash are crazy sweet together.  They have a really good slow burn chemistry which I enjoyed.  There is also some excellent world building happening.  I especially found it interesting to see the repercussions of the council’s demise.  The Silver Oak pack has a much different feel than the Kincaid pack and I liked getting a peek at their new alpha Liam’s struggle to make his pack successful in this new post Council world.  You can feel the rumblings Ore’s presence causes in the pack which adds some good tension to the plot, especially when Ore’s  memories begin to come back.  This was a lovely couple and I definitely look forward to more Silver Oak Pack stories.

I  voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Good start to a new series set in the same universe as the Kincaid Pack. It does state that you don't need to read what came before but that would be helpful as some characters and parings are mentioned but not explained, and characters appear from previous books. I have had all the Kincaid but haven't read the prequel to this one and I did feel that I had missed some storyline.

I loved Cash and Ore. The Silver Oak pack is very isolated and only accepts feline shifters, they're also very untrusting of outsiders. With Ore being without his memory it gave them a chance to get to know each other as he got better. I did enjoy this part of the storyline. I did feel that they jumped to sex kind of out of the blue. They were platonic and yes attracted to each other and then boom here we are.

Once Ore got his memory back the story picked up as the pack moved to help another, and we moved away from the guys getting to know each other to the overall story arc. The previous characters were introduced and it was great seeing the ones we did.

I like that the overall story arc will obviously be addressed over the series, and I'm looking forward to continuing on to see where it leads. There are a number of characters I'm very much looking forward to their stories.

Lot of names, I kinda got confused even though I've read all the preceding books. Also not a huge fan of amnesia and I'm not really sure why it was necessary here. Still an enjoyable story though!
