This was so good! I was a little worried going in because I really wasn’t sure where the series would go based on the ending of the first book, or if it would be as interesting, but I’m relieved that it was still so good!
I feel like this one focused heavily on Pip’s struggles with everything that’s happened to her in the past year as well as people’s comments both in person and online. I got a lot more emotional with this book, especially at the ending where I felt crushed for Pip. I wish we’d gotten to see Pip & Ravi’s relationship in the early stages a little more, but I love him! He’s so sweet and supportive of her.
I had a feeling I knew who would be involved in the mystery from pretty early on but it took a lot longer for me to feel certain about it than it did in the first book.
Excited to read the last book and see how this series ends!

This was good but definitely not as good as the first. This book felt slightly slower paced, and it took longer for plot twists to appear. I did love the character development of Pip and she really did come into her own as the protagonist. It was nice to see some of the background characters in the first book, get more of a main storyline. I am interested to see where it goes in the next book.

Wow. I really felt this book was going to be a dud compared to the first installment into the series, but I was pleasantly surprised. The beginning seemed really slow to me and I thought that the whole investigation was being drawn out until one point, then the plot was so fast paced and insane I was struggling to keep up. In a good way! I highly recommend and I'm excited for the third book in September!

BLOWN...AWAY! Jackson has brought readers another exciting and thrilling mystery that leaves the audience enthralled from beginning to end. Pip is my new favorite teen detective. She is talented at deductions but she has empathy and relatable, not characteristics you find in detectives. Not many YA authors can write a great sequel to already popular book and Jackson really shined here with creativity and compelling writing that will definitely make me read the next one!
