This book was as artfully written as the first book in the series. The plot stays similar and connected to the first book, without feeling repetitive at all. It also helps tie up some of the lose strings and reveal consequences from the first book.

The characters are just as lovable, relatable, and realistic as ever. With this new plot, the reader learns much more about minor characters, such as Connor and Nat, which gives the case, setting, and community much more depth. Pip goes through some serious inner conflict and turmoil throughout the novel that deepens her character even more, leaning into some of her flaws and weaknesses.

In all honesty, the book began pretty slowly and it was hard to stay engaged. I had to force myself to pick the book back up and power through at times. About halfway through, the story really picks up again and grabs the reader until the very end, then I wasn't able to put it down!

It started a bit slower than the first book in the trilogy but definitely made up for that at the end. Again just an amazing book with so many twists.

This copy was gifted to me by my brother and sister in law for Christmas and after reading a much heavier read to round out 2021, a YA thriller was just up my alley.

After documenting her investigation into the disappearance of Andie Bell into a podcast, fans are begging for more. Pip is hesitant to unhinge her life all over again when her friend Connor approaches her, desperate to find his older brother Jamie. Pip dives head first back into "Sarge" mode and races against the clock to save her friends brother, no matter the consequences.

Exploring the themes of justice and second chances, 'Good Girl, Bad Blood' told the story of Max Hastings trial as well as took the reader along for the investigation into Jamie Reynolds disappearance. The stories were told through a blend of narrative, interviews, images, podcast recordings and case notes, I think I enjoyed how much more appeared to be happening in this novel over the first. The plot was certainly twisty!

My main motivation for reading the sequel of this series was to see what happened to Pip, I was much more intrigued to see what happened to her. In particular her self discovery across the two books was something that I enjoyed the most. The ending was an especially emotional and scaring moment for the character as she was forced to grow up very quickly.

Although I enjoyed the story more than the first novel (a whole 1.5 stars more), I did question how so many people seemed to know the exact time they saw Jamie on the night of his disappearance and then the last minute piece of evidence that came so late in the novel, preventing any read-as-you-go-detectives from working out the ending.

For lovers of the TV series Veronica Mars and novel Sadie.

2 hours 36 minutes - Very enjoyable read, I absolutely powered through it. The plot line was very engaging, the mixed media elements worked very well also. The ending felt a little rushed, and I would have liked it better if it were drawn out more. Also the main character is slightly too perfect, but I also had this issue with the previous book. Overall, it is a very good sequel and I can't wait to read the next.

I like Pip as a character better in this book. I like all the rest of the characters a lot better now also. The plot is as good as ever, and the plot twists were RIVETING

I liked the second book better than the first one because the start was faster. However, I found the middle slower. Less suspects, more timeline, I really liked that. The perspective from the podcast was fun. I feel like we saw in more depth the grow of the characters. I liked how everyone grew including Pip AND the relationship between Pip and Ravi
