I listened to the audiobook and was captivated the entire time. I laughed, I almost cried, it was a really great story with a lot of fleshed out characters.
3.75 rounded up - another silly little romance that had me giggling, but the dialogue was too cheesy at times and the ending was wrapped up way too quickly.

This book is great if you just want a standard feel good romance book. Every single thing about it was predictable, but I still ate it up. The poor bad boy meets the rich good girl, who discovers that her life isn't as pretty as she thinks it is. They're ultimately able to help each other grow into the people that they are best meant to be, finding that who they are together strengthens who they were all along. And of course, there is typical jealousy drama, with exes, bad weather, and secrets all around. Not super high on my smut list, especially if you were looking for what I was when you read the title.

Watered down after meets outer banks. After is one of my fav books and I saw many comments talking about if you liked that, you’ll like this. Naturally I HAD to read this, but it was a let down.
I think the best way to describe this book is a nostalgic mix of The Outer Banks and After. 5/5 stars. This romance was something so cute but passionate! It felt so real that the romance was even better. This book was quite spicy but since it was an audiobook it was easy to skip past those parts. But the story was honestly so amazing because It felt like it would actually happen in the real world. Most romance novels focus so heavily on the romance that the reality of the plot sometimes gets lost. So it was nice to read because the things that happened were real life problems such as family issues and money stereotypes. The romance came from such a rough place, and it made it so much better! I can only speak good about this guys. This book makes me believe that love will prevail even when things are tough. It has some amazing messages in it linked with the romance to even out the plot with serious, but loving emotions. I would recommend this to everyone living a life with or without romance right now because this book, it will give you the hope to continue searching. Thank you to MacMillan Audio for this arc.
So the MC in this book thinks near the beginning how she doesn't understand how people cheat and why they don't just break up with their partner. And then she cheats? I don't get it. Her boyfriend was horrible yes but she should have done what she threatened. And also that one lie would have been a deal breaker for me. This book was dissatisfying.
