Just absolutely not. I tried branching out from my typical fantasy reads and this was not it. It was fun at first, but then I hit 50% of the way done and was wondering what the heck else could happen because everything significant had already happened. The last half of the book honestly just seemed like filler and I was not a fan of it at all. And quite honestly the ending was so lackluster and sucked. It didn’t elaborate on her hotel, relationship, parents, nothing.
2.5-3? Idk I liked it but didn’t like that it was just a cheating fest
This one had me gripping the edge of my seat in nervous anticipation just waiting for what would happen with Cooper and Mackenzie. And boy it did not disappoint when it finally all came out! I wish it wasn’t over I want more of Coop and Macs story.

Elle Kennedy has done it again folks. This book has everything you need and more. There's banter, sexual tension, strong (INDEPENDENT) female characters, and a love story that will sweep you off your feet. I absolutely fell in love with Cooper and Mac's relationship. From their silly arguments to their heartfelt confessions, they were the perfect couple to introduce us to the world of Avalon Bay. Cooper may even be my favorite Elle Kennedy boy now (sorry Garrett). The coastal setting was an inviting atmosphere to get sucked into the small-town drama of townies vs. clones. Oh, and there's a puppy. Did I mention the identical twin? And we can't forget about the childhood friend group that is the perfect set-up to make this book into an amazing series. This is a book that I will be recommending the hell out of when it releases. Can't wait!

I'm super sad to say that although I thought the Good Girl Complex was well written, I just couldn't connect with the characters and found their antics to be childish and petty.

This book certainly did not pass the bechdel test. Should’ve been a slow burn but was a weirdly quick burn? There was not enough tension and the ending was really lackluster and obvious from the beginning of the story. It really should’ve been like half the length that it was. Initially I enjoyed it, but it just went on too long. Also I think everyone forgave the shitty friends way too quickly??? And there should’ve been more Bonnie.
