Kennedy is an author whose imagery being feelings to life. Could not put the book down and in 3 days' time, Inwas overtook with what was going to happen next. The characters are potent and their stories feel true. Highly recommend the author, can't wait to read more

Cute and fun. Classic trope of rich girl, working class dude. Rich kids vs poor kids….. you’ve seen it before, but this is a fun cast of characters.

It was fine? It was a book to read. Maybe college romance is just too young for me anymore. Guy from the wrong side of the tracks lies to the rich girl to get revenge on her boyfriend but then falls for her. Just not a very deep story. I’m glad I borrowed the audiobook from the library and didn’t pay for it or use a credit on it.

A rich girl that hates her parents makes her first million before turning 20 after developing an odd app, ends up falling for a bad boy with no money. A dog is involved and a bet. It’s so pathetic. I loved it.

This was honestly such an amazing read! I could not put it down, even in the early hours of the morning. I just wish there was an epilogue, the ending is a bit cut off. I needed the closure with the hotel, Mac’s and Cooper’s next steps in the relationship: engaged? moved out?, and some common ground (or even friendship) with Heidi.

Elle Kennedy has written one of the most realistic couples I've ever read. Cooper and Mackenzie bicker, they lie  they are not perfect people. But that made me connect with them more. Because they were good at heart and their chemistry was fire.
MacKenzie is strong willed, smart, and successful. But she has lived her life in the lane that was planned out for her by her parents. Cooper is a townie that's been pushed around one too many times. He sees Mac as the perfect path for revenge.
Cooper's friends and MacKenzie's parents were infuriating at times. And I would have liked to see a little more remorse and maybe some apologies from some of them. But overall this was a fun and sweet read.

it’s a no from me dawg

I was left wanting more and yet content. Mackenzie and Cooper had a passionate, fire, explosive connection that was uniquely theirs. They brought out the best and the worst in each other. Two independent and stubborn people who love being right.

Mac is enormously misjudged from everyone. Her parents, boyfriend, friends, outsiders. Just another rich clone who doesn’t have any regard for others, right? Wrong. She is the most companionate, responsible, caring, overachieving person. Wears her heart on her sleeve, wants more than what’s expected of her, has her own thoughts and opinions. Her independent mind wanders to different possibilities and fixes her own problems instead of relying on others.

Cooper has a past no child should ever have to go through. But with the help of his uncle, Levi, Coop and his twin brother, Evan, we’re giving a second chance. He has the work ethic and determination to make his dreams come true so he’s not repeating the same mistakes his parents made. After putting up with the rich clones his whole life, he thinks they are all the same. Pretentious pricks who think they know everything and don’t bother themselves with anyone “less” than them. Well, he’s not wrong, they are awful. Until he meets the one exception.

It physically pained me to read Mackenzie‘s view of Preston. Every time she would fawn over how genuine his love was or how she thought he respected her enough to stay monogamous made me want to jump through the book and shake her. But once she broke the cycle of the world she grew up in, she became the person she envisioned for so long.

Before they met they were just letting life pass by, not actually living. Together they brought out something in each other that made them feel alive again and break the mold. Breaking free from your past and what your upbringing turned you into isn’t easy. But finding that one person to push the boundaries while also being your anchor is rare. Their relationship had its ups and downs and I couldn’t get enough.

When I came to the final sentence, I wanted to keep reading. I loved the relationship between Cooper and his chosen family. The bond Mac grew with them made me so happy. I hated how Cooper kept the secret from her for so long but I can see how he was afraid to lose her. Doesn’t make it right, but I understand. After everything these two have gone through, they deserve their HEA!
