The characters I absolutely adored in here. But everything else felt a bit flat and underdeveloped. The writing style felt relatively simplistic and without a grasp on how to describe the gymnastic, racing and freestyle skills effectively so I often just stared at the page thinking “what are they doing?” I would have assumed it was my lack of motocross knowledge but I know gymnastics and yet was still confused. Similarly? The linking events between chapters felt underdeveloped and pacing of the plot could have been plotted better.

But the characters are incredibly loveable and the banter between characters is great fun.

And I will always give props for disability representation - Knox’s brother Archer is deaf. However, this wasn’t introduced into a substantial way through the book and when it is mentioned about Archer lip reading without exploring that’s he’s deaf first, it was quite a confusing point of the narrative.

Super cute and I enjoyed it but I wanted more angst

It was cute little read. Both the FMC and MMC were there to help push one another with their athletic troubles and the banter was also cuteeee. Nothing too memorable though but I wouldn’t mind continuing the series for something light to read when I am in a slump.
