I couldn’t get enough of the series and I’m SO glad I read this afterwards.
It’s cute, short, and gives more insight into Carden and his upbringing. I loved the normalcy of the interactions between he and Jude, and their time in the mortal realm.
Also, the artwork is stunning!

What a fun little book to bring everything for Cardan full circle in his story. This lil guy had a lot of fun stories and adventures within it…. Now I just need to read the spinoff duology!

You'll like it if you liked The Folk of the Air trilogy. The best part was Cardan finding a rack of paperback romances and one was named Duke, Duke, Goose. How I wish that were a real book! Maybe a duke owns a goose farm and...finds love?? With another goose farming duke? Holly Black needs to flesh this out.
The whole series is fun and often surprising and how I always wanted fairy tales to work.
