Lots of twists and turns, actually made me cry at one point. BUT I have some issues. Considering the book starts with the MC poorly reviewing a book for being unrealistic, the inaccuracies are a bit disappointing

Chap 4 - why would you go out of your way to email an author you poorly reviewed after the conversation via your review was already done?

Chap 10 - the Polaroid picture??? That would not have worked. The flash would have focused on the window, not a barely visible figure 30+ feet away in the rain…

Chap 23 - seeing the neighbors mantel and what was missing from it FROM 1/4 MILE AWAY without the telescope. Nope.

Chap 35 - in reference to the car accident, the statistical likelihood of the tragedy is grossly exaggerated and I can’t say more without spoilers. But this was very unrealistic

This was just okay. There were a few things that didn't really make sense from the start. Some of the twists were good, but others I saw coming. It also just sort of felt really long. The tension started too early and after a while just sort of felt boring. I kept reading and liked part of the end, though.

4.5 ⭐️s: The format and final chapter were my favorite parts of this page-turner. Highly unlikely, like most action and horror stories, but uniquely entertaining and memorable.

3.5 stars- please don’t murder me lol.
It started off interesting and was a well paced thriller but the last quarter of the book had way too many plot twists for me that it was hard to keep track of. I will say it kept me engaged the entire time and I read it quickly once I got into it but the swords and the surprise twists got a little silly towards the end.
