This is a brilliant book. So brilliant. And not a fast read, but the pens and highlighters and post it notes will get a workout.

 An excellent writers' book that highlights the REASON of storytelling.
While geared towards screenwriting specifically, this is just as good information and inspiration for all forms of fiction writing as well.
I only wish there was a newer edition I could have read. Mine was from the 90s, so all the examples, while many were amazing stories/movies, also felt really dated considering the most recent would have been from 1997 or so.
