This was so wonderful! I can't believe I put off reading it for so long. I love all the characters so much. The art was actual perfection. I can't wait to read the next volume!!!

I had these comics waiting to be read, but didn't get motivated until I won volume 3 from Goodreads first reads giveaways. Considering the depressing state of the country, now's as good a time as any to get lost in the world of superheroes.

Annnnnnnnnnd I'm in love. Mostly with Maps, because how fricking adorable is she? But the entire cast of characters is fun and intriguing. I want to know so much more about Olive's mother Calamity. Is this a character I should know from DC? Obviously, I recognize the Cobblepot name heard in the diary.

I really wish I knew more things about the DC universe. I don't love this like I love Batgirl, but man, these characters are fun.

This was a fantastic mystery story and teen character drama. I'd heard from several (LadyGeeks) friends that Gotham Academy was the only DC title they still cared about, and I'm seeing why (although I'm still a huge fangirl of Scott Snyder's Bat-everything).

I'll definitely keep reading this series.

um can everyone go read this so I have somebody to talk about it with? This series has so much potential to be amazing. I loved this first volume! It was dark and mysterious and just so much fun. I'm probably going to start buying the single issues of this comic, because I don't think I can wait for the next trade to be released. I NEED MORE AND I NEED IT NOW. xD The one thing that I didn't like was that some of the pages were a bit too busy, other than that it was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this for lovers of YA who are looking to get into comic books.

Gothic Academy home to the wealthiest and most elite students in Gotham City and apparently a ghost that is scaring all the students. Olive Silverlock is hoping that her second year at the academy will kick off to a good start but it does anything but. She gets stuck looking out for her ex boyfriends annoyingly cute little sister, and then all the weird ghost drama and mysterious goings on, have her on the look out. She ends up teaming up with some other students to investigate and see what is going on, on campus but none are prepared for the truth. Slow at times, but still charming. The DC tie ins (Bruce Wayne, Cobblepot, Gotham, etc.) are also pretty cool.
