Great audiobook, just a struggle to find time for it. Gonna try again in print pretty soon

The writing style was very confusing. Couldn't get into the story.

Not sure if it's the audiobooks fault or the writing in general but all of the names and terms thrown around with no context made the story very hard to follow. I'll have to give the physical book a shot one day and see if it helps.

I’d like to give this book five stars, because it has so many things I enjoyed, and they’re all executed really well. I adored the characters and their relationship dynamics, and I loved the world that was being built. Some people complained about being confused by the world building, but I really enjoyed the slightly more subtle approach to it. I also didn’t find the ending particularly confusing, but then I have read too many books with strange perspectives.
That being said, I thought that the pacing was a little messy, and that the book was longer than it needed to be. There were just so many things that happened that didn’t seem to link together properly.
All the same, I really enjoyed this. Veyadi and Sunai are THE guy ever, and I am attached to Jin and Imaru on a ridiculous level.
