I was so ready to dislike this when I first started reading but I kept going and like 5 mins later I was invested and enjoying it. The one of two major plot conflicts that I thought would blow over super quickly ended up taking a lot of time to be resolved and I really liked how it was handled. In a perfect world they would have both had the time to be resolved nicely.
The conflict with Reagan
I really was not sure how on earth they could resolve that nicely, turns out the solution is to not solve it at all! And now my petty comments: what the fuck kind of a name is Zorie. Sorry. And this is so mean to say (and it’s not even really a complaint/critique) but I just know Lennon and Zorie would break up after going to college. They are very sweet together in the moment but it was a wonder they were ever friends when they were kids with how little they have in common.

3.5 stars. I almost DNFd but I’m glad I didn’t. I really liked the adventure aspect of it. Cute, fun and romantic!

I had major feelings while reading this book. I'm not thrilled with the ending, but I liked this book.

*3.75* look if your looking for an EPIC WE WERE MADE FOR EACH OTHER romance this is for you. God this book was amazing i mean i finished it so quick for romance books i usually take longer but I’m obsessed this book had everything I wouldn’t technically considered it a rom-com cuz it wasn’t that funny in my opinion but i loved the characters and how easy they were to relate to though i did feel zorie to be pretty annoying at times, however I LOVED lennon’s character his personality matches mine so well, all in all it was nice. I gave it 3.75 stars because i felt like it was very PREDICTABLE like everything about it I guessed before and if that sorta bothers you idk if you’d like this so much, buttt if your looking for a sweet new comfort read DEFINITELY pick this up.

I have now read four of Jenn Bennett’s books and I think this one might be my favourite. The story had really good pace and I really appreciated the scale of drama that occurred (the familial drama was especially juicy and entertaining). Overall I really enjoyed reading it and will gladly do so again in the future, 4/5 stars

i absolutely loved this book, it’s an best friend to enemies to lovers book, although i do wish there were like more of the enemies part but it’s all good cuz it’s a second chance romance and a miscommunication trope? i’m bent
