Dang. I did not like this & I love Gary Janetti. I also read this out of order & maybe that’s why? Start Without Me (his 2nd book) is SO MUCH BETTER! I couldn’t get over Gary’s constant narcissism. It actually becomes unfunny. There were a few highlights in this book, but nothing I didn’t already know after reading the second one. Advice: read the 2nd one…lol

A collection of witty essays that depict revenant moments in the author's life. Childhood memories, the teenage years, college life, all of which make him the man he is now. A great fun read.

Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book and to Goodreads.

Gary always makes me laugh. I first discovered him listening to his book titled Start without Me. This is a continuation of sarcastic stories of growing up gay in the 70’s. I love his humor, his references to pop culture and encouragement to look things up on YouTube, which I did a couple times pausing to go watch a scene he’s recommended to better understand his fascination with said scene. I recommend the audio to hear him tell his humorous stories in his own voice.

A quick, fun read, although I didn’t always love the writing style.
