very very good! started this ages ago but got back into it around two days ago and finished it so quickly, not many books i have read are like this. very witty and very thoughtful, had to put it down a few times cause it was making my brain go too fast (this was welcomed)

compelling, entertaining, and I found myself wanting to stay in the worlds of every character! Tbh my only issue was the ending— such an abrupt dismissal of james and Maria’s stories when there’s so much more that could’ve been explored

The characters are not really likeable, but not in a I-hate-it way. They are, however, intensely relatable in a funny and self aware and kinda pathetic in a way that the reader may feel uncomfortable about with some introspection.

It's not meant to be a satisfactory book--it's not about a transition phase but really the floating before/after where one goes "okay...so what about it?". In terms of that, the author hit the nail on the head. An enjoyable, quick read still.
