Radiant Sin definitely focuses on the overall plot of the series more so than the previous books. I think it's very unique how Katee Robert has woven an overarching plotline through these various books. I've never read another romance book series that has pulled this off like they have. All this is cool, however, I feel like this book suffers because of it. It's focused more on the plot setup for future books than it is on Apollo and Cassandra's relationship. This is disappointing because based on the synopsis, I was expecting this to be my favorite in the series. A sexy house party, fake dating, and various power dynamics at play? Like come on, that sounded like it was going to be so good!

While this makes it sound like I didn't love the book, that's not true. I have been having the most fun reading the Dark Olympus series. While none of these books are groundbreaking, they are so much fun. Radiant Sin stands out to me among the various books in the series because of Cassandra. She is very different from the other FMCs we have seen in the series so far. She is not a member of the 13 or related to a member of the 13. She is an outsider which was interesting to see play out.

Anyways, super fun. On to the next book!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind spice.  But there's got to be some plot? This series, and the writing, is starting to feel very lazy.  And the characters are straying far from their mythological attitudes, which makes the romances seem contrived.  ALL the women swoon at the attention of a god, even the ones who are supposed to be powerful and above the manipulation.  They are written meekly, and it's just....irritating.  I enjoyed the final plot pivot, but damn, KR, couldn't you at least teased a non-HEA?!

Compared to the last three, this one was spicy, but not for long enough. This book seems to serve more as a plot bridge for the upcoming drama in future books. Still good though.
