This is way better as an audio book than reading it!

These books continue to be a fun little escape. You're pretty much getting what it says on the tin. A different romantic dynamic of the various Greek gods in a modern city setting of the rich and famous in each book.

I felt the pacing was much better in this one, though the story didn't hold me as the first two did. The romance was still great, but the spice was a little underwhelming when compared to any of the first three.

The true star of this show though was how much plot we got for the overarching story. I found the intrigue and mystery was much more compelling than the will they won't they of our pairing, which is saying something since I did still enjoy that will they won't they.

I docked a star on the third book because of how rushed the book felt, but here I docked one because the romance here felt a bit repetitive. It's at the point that the men in these stories all have a line I just know will be said at some point, and there's always a contrived deadline to their whirlwind romance that becomes moot at the end. On one hand, I love that we're guaranteed a happy ending. It's part of why these get rated so highly from me, and what keeps me reading. On the other, it being so similar in formula makes me press likely to binge the series like I thought I would starting out.

So overall, a great and necessary addition to the series for the plot points alone, but the romance itself is a little mix and match/ copy and paste.

UUUGHHH, this was too good!!! Now I have to push everything else on my TBR aside and dive into the next book. The love story between Apollo and Cassandra was absolutely perfect—steamy and captivating—but the overarching plot across the series is really hooking me in. I usually read smut for the smut, but this series has me reading smut for the plot!

SpoilerAlso, WTF Hermes! You were my favorite, and now I don't know how to feel. I'm going to be so mad if you don’t get redeemed.

I really enjoyed this read, and I can't wait to find out what happens next. But I'm also so worried about where the story is headed!
