I completely adored this book! A fun, quick read with characters you can't help but love and a romance you can't help but root for.
I love the mix of complete unreality (ghosts? missing identities? mafia families?) with the very real realities of the complex relationships between people.
My absolute favorite thing about this story is that, in the end, Catherine didn't have to give up what she thought she wanted (her dream job) in order to get or appreciate what she grew to learn she wanted (community, love). Her character growth wasn't rooted in completely changing who she was or what she valued, it was rooted in finding a beautiful, vibrant middle ground that works for her without fundamentally altering her as a person. I LOVED that.

I loved the fact that this was not an in your face romance but more about her finding out who she really is with the help of some very colorful characters. Yes there is a little romance but it definitely takes second seat to her identity crisis (pun intended). It makes you want to movie into the building and enjoy the tenants despite the wonky elevator.
