I can’t explain how much I loved this book.

This book took me on wild ride of emotions and feelings. The writing impressively taking you through the galaxy and back. The twist and turns making you second guess everything, driving you to read on.

I hate to say it took me a little to get into, but it did. The thing was though the second I things started picking up (less than 30 pages in) I never put it done. This book is so intensely packed with heart stopping events that is can almost become impossible to put down.

This world captured me immensely. The beautiful way the characters have develop over the book, and how the worlds concepts and view continuously changes. The way Mia and Jules have so much love and passion towards the world and their family. The way that hope is what drives everyone and everything. The fact that age didn’t matter and that the boundaries who you are depicted to be didn’t stop them. Mia and Jules instead broke down those walls.

Beyond the deep and meaningful side to this wonderful book. The basic world building and storyline was something entirely it’s own. I love that research is clearly shown in the writing of this book. That these wonderful authors knew and had help perfecting their idea.

Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner will always be some of my favourite authors, and Undying has just highlighted what they are truly capable of writing.

The heart stopping, mind boggling, jaw dropping, that this book has caused is beyond what any reader could hope for.

IM SO CONFUSED IS IT A PREQUEL TO THESE BROKEN STARS OR NOT??

They give Jules the fake name ‘Laroux’ on the ship to Gaia, and this is the perfect setup for how the history of that series started, but the name ‘Laroux’ is literally never mentioned again??

I NEED ANSWERS AMIE. I NEED THEM.

Enjoyable but I didn't LOVE it. There was just something about this book (and duology) I couldn't put my finger on that I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would. It ticks all the right boxes (sci-fi, mazes and puzzles, aliens, lots of action) and yet I found myself quite bored in parts and just wanted to wrap it up and be done with it.

****4.0****

Second and final book of Unearthed Duology did not fail me but the first book was the best.
Mia and Jules do solve the puzzles placed by Undying and that leads them to a spaceship. But intervention of IA leads the events to a different direction. But Mia and Jules along with Jules's cousin Neal are determined to save the Earth from Undying.

With good narration, well build characters and world, I had a very good read.

Happy Reading!!!

Loved the first one, this was disappointing.

It wasn't as good as the first book, but I still enjoyed it :)

What I loved about the first book was the fact that they were in space, but in this book a majority of the book doesn't occur in space which was disappointing, however, it does make sense as to why. I love how they still included all the science space nerdy stuff. Overall, super quick and easy duology that I flew through in the past couple of days. Wish the books were longer and a bit more intricate. It felt like a downplayed version of their Starbound series. But overall fun and easy series!

After reading 270 pages of this book (and knowing that I had only 30-40 pages left) I decided not to finished. In my opinion it was a total mistake to read this book. I didn’t even like Unearther but I wanted to give this duology another change.

I love Amie Kaufman and the Iluminar Series and I’m a sucker for sci-fy so the first one I read Unearther I thought I would love it. I did not. Even though I did not like the first book I decided to give the Undying a change. I did not like it either. I have the feeling that in this book nothing happen. There’s just a bunch of kids traveling around Europe. And the part of the Undying (who they are, where they come from...) I found it super fake. Super made up. And I know what you must think, it is a Science fiction book. I know that but still I did not understand-believe in their story. Also, I couldn’t get attached to any of the characters. Couldn’t care less for them.

Overall, this saga was not for me. I’m pretty sure there’s someone out there that will like it but in my opinion it wasn’t worth of my time. I normally always finish all the books I start but I couldn’t Finnish this one after reading more than 250 pages. I did not care for the end or for what was going on. I feel really disappointed because I do love Amie Kaufman other’s book. Such a boomer.
