This was enjoyable enough, but had a different vibe than Unearthed in kind of a disappointing way. I can't really pinpoint what it was, except for the characters seeming like flatter versions of themselves. I really liked the sci-fi premise, but it was poorly executed (think similar big reveal monologue at the end of a thriller). There was also too much focus on the romance, which got boring and predictable, especially considering they were in the middle of life or death situations a lot.
A satisfying conclusion to the Unearthed Duology. The story here picks up right where we left off in Unearthed and it is a fast paced race to the finish line. Mia and Jules are really great characters to read about but as much as I hated the romance in the first book, I loved it in this one. I don't know what happened or why. It seemed to really fit the story. Both Mia and Jules had some really emotional character arcs as well. Even though I did find the ending to be a little anti-climatic (and that is all I will say). We were introduced to a couple new characters and they each provided some good fuel for the story and plot. I don't want to say to much more because this is a sequel and a conclusion.
I really enjoyed this series and I think Amie and Meagan are a really great author duo and I am truly excited for what story they decide to give us next.

Jules and Mia were tricked into starting the Undying spaceship. Unfortunately it is no longer empty and the two must come up with an insane plan to stop the Undying from taking over Earth. However, there are many secrets to be revealed about who the Undying truly are and how they can to be. Will Jules and Mia be able to get the IA to believe them in time?
This was even better than the first one. While I loved the puzzles from the first book, the sequel felt like a race against time. I still got an Indiana Jones vibe from it, but with like a ton more physics. Jules and Mia have finally figured out how to be a team. I loved seeing them work together in order to stop the Undying.
I loved the revelations of this sequel too. There was a great twist of physics and it was incredible. We also meet Jule's cousin, Neil and he was so much fun! I loved his bubbly personality. It was the perfect buffer for Mia and Jules. The ending was really intense though I think I would've liked the ending more if Jules had actually died.

4.5 stars. I really loved this. I adore Jules and Mia so much. This was a really interesting twist and not what I expected for the last book in this duology. I will say that I think the ending would have been more poignant if a certain spoilery thing had happened that they made it seem like was gonna happen but then it didn't. I don't know. I really loved this duology though and wish people were talking about it more!
I loved this duo! It's definitely a quick read and could have been developed more, but I think the fast pace is part of it's appeal. In this one they're on the run, but this time they've returned to Earth. A little less Indiana Jones than Unearthed, but still exciting. A great recommendation for younger teens, with very minimal language and romantic content.
This was incredible! I absolutely love the whole book and that plot twist man... Such a great sequel & final book. I love duologies. (Don't get me wrong, I love trilogies & series too, there's just something a duology that's just different.) Can't wait to finally read the first trilogy Amie and Meg wrote and to read their new series that starts in 2020!

The second book shifted in terms of story and focus compared to the first. The first book is exploration and hidden dangers, whereas the second... Well, there are still hidden dangers, but we are back on Earth and dealing with the fallout of what has been discovered with yet more to discover. I enjoyed the shift and while there is quite a bit of talking and not as much action, well, there still was a lot of talking in the first book too. The action in this one just seems a bit more mundane because it's in a world we're familiar with.
I will say overall I predicted where things were roughly going, but as a, "It's about the journey," kinda gal, it didn't bother me. One, I want to know if I'm right, and two, it's really about how things are revealed, how the characters handle those revelations, etc. For me, it was a ride worth having.
I still struggled with Steve West as the narrator for Jules for the audio, but at least I was accustomed to him.

”So chose. Choose the stars or the void; choose hope or despair; choose light or the undying dark of some. Choose—and travel onward, if you dare.”
I loved Unearthed. I had a few issues with it, but overall I loved it. But Undying? Totally different story. I LOVED THIS BOOK. It was somehow 1000% better than the first in so many different ways and it was a delight to read.
Undying starts where Unearthed left off. Jules and Mia are in the Undying’s space ship and are trying to find a way to get home.
This book has just as much (if not more) banter between our duo, lots more action, and more thrills. There’s a scary bio outbreak, more interaction with the undying, a race against the clock to save the world, and of course some romance ;)
Undying teaches us about family, who your real enemies are (or more importantly who they aren’t), and gives us hope that the human race can come together and do amazing things.
I would recommend this to all readers. Even if you didn’t like the first book, you should definitely give this one a try.
