This was another good book. Bree is doing a great job as Sheriff, Matt and his dog Brody is still around. I think Todd is my new favorite character. I wasn’t sure how I felt about him in the first book until the very end, and this one just made me like home more. I still adore Dana and what one of my own.

This was a good follow up to the first book. It was a little slow at first, not grabbing my attention but it got better and the ending was pretty good.

This is book 2 and although it can be read as a standalone I wish I had read the first book because it talks about what happens in the previous book so now I know what happens. I will still be reading it though and have already purchased it.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Bree & Matt and thought they were great main characters. The murders were brutal so if you aren’t a fan of the gruesome this might not be for you. I do love a gory read though. I was kept guessing and the fast pace kept me hooked. I enjoyed reading about Bree’s family and I can’t wait to read more and see them grow. It also features doggy sidekicks and who doesn’t love a good dog.

I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
