Another Bree Taggert book finished 🥲 2/10 books and I'm loving it so far. Although Bree has a tragic past, she makes the best of it by helping people as a Sheriff in her hometown while raising her niece & nephew. It's heartwarming yet interesting as she tackles cases and family life balance. I love all the characters. Such a good book.
3.5. Not as exciting at the previous book but still good
This was a good read. It dragged a little here and there, but was overall great!

Another entertaining installment; I enjoyed Bree and Matt's working relationship. I loved seeing Stella and Morgan again too.

Good! I didn't connect with the mystery itself quite as much as the first book, but the first was more personal so it makes sense. The romance tag feels almost misleading, because it's quite a slow burn and not the primary focus of the series, but it does satisfy that romantic suspense itch for me.
