I had to give this book 5 stars ⭐️ for Nichole Van’s story.
It’s definitely worth the read!
(Also...a surprise cameo from two characters from Suffering the Scot.)

So much fun! I sat and read without stopping. Esther Hatch is really good at showing instead of telling. I knew what they were feeling by their actions without having to be told. I especially loved Nichole Van's story in the middle. She is a master of pulling us into the character's emotions. I could follow the heroine's line of thinking, her emotions, her dilemma, and her sense of rapport with the love interest. Annette Lyon's story at the end was an exploration of the experience of someone who lived in the working class instead of nobility-a fun twist and something I haven't read much about.
