Just wanted to mention that I thought I spoiled the book by looking at fanart on Pinterest but I turns out, I was very wrong so I ended up making my own plot twist that was very much avoidable if I would just stop going on Pinterest while reading books.

Omg this was SO GOOD!!!

I know this has been such a popular book but it's taken me FOREVER to get to it! I've been eyeing this forever but finally decided to bite the bullet as I've been trying to expand my repertoire so I can recommend more books to people, especially customers. Now I want to recommend this to so many people!

While some of the Shakespeare quotes were over my head, the overall mystery was amazing! I loved how the story unfolded and the way it went back and forth in time. It was done so well and really helped to orient you to what happened and why.

I seriously loved seeing how it all occurred and all of the characters. The story was so well-written and I cannot wait to read more from Rio!

I’m so on the fence about this book.
The first 100 pages were BORING and I had to force myself to keep reading. Pages 100-200 were quite interesting and the pace picked up a bit but then it got boring again. This book felt like a piece of gum that got stretched for no reason.

I despised most of the characters, Meredith and Wren were the only ones I liked. One bad decision after the other and it just kept going.

And yeah, I get it. You guys like Shakespeare. But can you have ONE conversation without quoting one of his plays? like fr. it’s just cringe.

the plot itself is really good and i would’ve rated it 5/5 for the twists and turns but I just can’t deal with this book. the writing is just so so boring and dull. had to skip most of the rehearsal scenes because they just didn’t have an impact on anything.

also the part with the eating disorder was just maddening. just get a damn job, oliver. your sister has an illness and your tuition money is more important??

As a theatre and Shakespeare nerd this book was amazing. It was a fantastic portrayal of the bonds that are forged with your troupe during shows, the relationships made in college, and how the Bard can shape you. How far will you go for those you love, your found family.
