Uncomfortable and something that you're not going to forget for a long time. I'm not sure that's a good thing though. The first half was traumatic and the second... I don't even know? Not a nice read but well written.

Omg please check the content warnings. Randomly saw it recommend. I thought this would be a quirky alien book. Had no idea what I was in for. It was absolutely horrifying and I couldn't put it down. 5 stars. Wtf.

This books is do difficult to rate, there is so much triggering topics and a heartbroken view of our society. The warmth of the characters trying to deal with trauma is refreshing but at the same time give you a sense of emptiness. If you are planning to read this, please check all the trigger warnings.

All the trigger warnings. I’m not sure how to rate this book, I am also not sure whether I enjoyed or not. It’s very intense, it reminds me of an Oscar nominated movie, or performance art. Not sure how to articulate my thoughts actually.

Earthlings is a deeply upsetting critique of society,  focused largely on the impact of unresolved trauma from childhood abuse. This book is important and incredibly well written, but don’t take the content warnings lightly.

This book was really crazy. It was very interesting the topics that it discusses and how they can relate to real life but also extremely shocking, and some parts - a lot of parts - are very difficult to read. I promise you, you will not expect the ending but the majority of the book was really good. I finished it in two days. I recommend the book but look up the trigger warnings first.
