The last 30 pages of this were so graphic and disturbing, I’m still mulling over that ending.
If you enjoyed reading the thoughts of the main character in Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, I feel like you would love Earthlings.

It's completely bonkers!
The first part of the book is full of trauma. The main character creates an identity to cope with the the experiences she has endured and been blamed for, unfairly. But with no support she takes matters into her own hands and er, violently breaks a taboo. 
As she grows up, she tries to look at the human world objectively and this culminates in the three main characters losing their humanity completely.

It's a horror in a coolly psychological chiller kind of way, in the realm of American Psycho or Midsommar. 

But, I would love to know what happens after the ending? I couldn't trust the narrator and don't know how the circumstances will be dealt with.

this is one of my new favourite books oh my god. this book was so insanely weird and odd and i loved it so much. definitely check trigger warnings before reading though because it was really intense
