i should psychoanalyse myself and my need for consumption of romances but that's a new punch i would rather not unpack right now
back to this, i love the last of the last minute conflict and the emphasis on healthy communication between the characters and them talking thru things and most of all acknowledging their flaws actively without the readers having to point them out!!!
i love Nico and Ellie's relationship and how it grew
i love the MMC(Rafael)'s character development and he over time confronting his issues and having active conservations on them
overall a good book that touches on topics with sensitivity but not so much that it feels frivolous and fake

⭐ ⭐ ⭐.5

This book reminded me to read the trigger warnings🙃

I was a little confused how sometimes Nico spoke and acted like a grown up, who can acknowledge and properly express his feelings and other time he pulled very childlike temper tantrums that actually showed his 8 years of age

His diagnosis was also grossly ignored since the Hawai trip ended and we never got a resolution from his mum Hillary

It wasn’t anything amazing but I really connected with Ellie’s character and the hardships she went through

Rafael was good, but he was no Julian

It’s a sequel but it doesn’t state that anywhere on or in the book
